The District’s Workforce Investment Council (WIC) is a private-sector led board responsible for advising the Mayor, Council, and District government on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated and effective workforce investment system.

Seaberry was commissioned to design the logo and collateral materials for the District of Columbia's Workforce Investment Council. The DC-centric logo incorporates the universal working symbols of gear and wrench into the symbol for the city. The combination symbolizes DC's commitment to workforce development through partnership between local business and DC government.
