Identity Design for Journalism Leadership Transfomation (JoLT) Program
The American University School of Communication launched a program for disruptive leadership development in media and journalism with a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
The collaboration, known as Journalism Leadership Transformation (JoLT), expands on the university’s Game Design and Persuasive Play Initiative, which was established as a joint program of the School of Communication and the College of Arts and Sciences. The initiative includes a master’s program in game design, faculty work and research in persuasive play and the American University Game Studio.
The School of Communication engaged Seaberry to design the JoLT identity and collateral materials, including fliers for the program's speaker series (below). The logo was designed to be reflective of the creative and playful nature of the program and to affirm the spark or "jolt" that comes with innovative thinking.
